Mountain View Miniature Cattle for Sale We pride ourselves on raising docile, friendly, miniature cattle for the sheer pleasure of it - inadvertently our cattle have become highly sort after by first time livestock owners. All Mountain View miniature cattle that are offered for sale are very 'user friendly'. Our miniature cattle are handled in the paddock daily - from the day they are born. They are halter trained (will walk with you on a lead) and will come when called. In fact they queue up to be brushed and groomed. Our miniature cattle can be hand fed, haltered, brushed, patted, kissed and loved to bits - all in the paddock. We are more than happy to spend time with you, before and after you take one of our treasured herd home, to help you start this bonding process. In fact, if you take one of our little mates home, you will find our ongoing support is second to none. Despite the fact that we now have the largest herd of miniature White Galloways in Australia, we breed miniature Galloways purely for our own pleasure and to promote this simply gorgeous breed. Selling cattle is not our first priority. When we do sell our miniature cattle, we sell them in pairs (or insure that they are going to join a herd). Cattle are herd animals and should not be left in a paddock alone. We sell cattle to people looking for: 1. Miniature cattle as gentle paddock pets (for the joy of owning such beautiful animals). 2. Miniature cattle for paddock patrol (quiet lawn mowers for the small acreage owner). 3. Miniature cattle for show or breeding (registered full blood/pure bred Galloways). 4. Miniature cattle as paddock pals for horses, (alpacas and other animals). Miniature Cattle for Sale * 1. Miniature White Galloway Calves for Sale: A small number of beautiful pure bred Miniature White Galloway calves will be weaned after Christmas - some black some white. We will be contacting people on our contact list one week prior to advertising these calves for sale early 2011. 2. On the Off Chance: At different times and for different reasons, we have cows, calves or steers we are considering selling - miniature cattle that have not been advertised for sale. If you are ready to buy right now - it never hurts to ask. Prices: Our prices reflect the quality of the breeding of both our full blood and 'designer' miniature cattle. The time and care required to develop affectionate, well trained cows and calves is also a factor. Purchasers also need to be aware that, to put it bluntly, with miniature cattle the bottomline is - the smaller the miniature the bigger the sale price. Our Mountain View miniature cattle are specifically bred and trained to make it easy first time livestock owners to enjoy owning miniature cattle from day one - this takes time, patience, skill and experience. Purchasing a miniature as a pet is generally a more expensive option. Prices will vary depending on the characteristics of the individual miniature, the number and the combination of cattle you purchase from us. We do not sell cheap cattle at bargain basement prices. We do sell well bred, extremely quiet, miniature cattle. They are sold with with the kind of ongoing support and back up that our first time livestock owners need to feel confident and happy. Go to FAQ page for general information on prices (there are some ball park figures to give you a bit of an idea). You will need to provide us with your home phone number if you wish to discuss the price of any particular animal. Please Contact Me List: If you are looking for beautiful, family friendly, very quiet paddock pets please make an enquiry. If we don't have any available we can place your name on our 'please contact me' list. People on our contact list are contacted before we advertise any stock for sale. As is our practise, clients on our contact list were contacted regarding cattle we were going to advertise for sale three times during 2009 and again in 2010. All stock found new homes prior to advertising in all instances! If you would like to be added to our contact list please use the Contact Us button or the function at the bottom of each page. Please tell us which miniature cattle in particular you want us to let you know about. Are You Thinking About Buying Cattle for the First Time?: Please read Calves as Pets and Owning Miniature Cattle (side menu) if you want to know a little of what is involved in keeping miniature cattle as pets. Contact Us: Use the Contact Us button to make initial enquires about the miniature cattle of interest to you. If you provide us with a home contact number in your email we can phone you at a nominated time and answer all your questions. We do not expect anyone to buy miniature cattle they haven't seen, from people they haven't met. Please make arrangements to inspect our miniature cattle and to meet us in person. Conditions of Sale: Selling our cattle is not our first priority. We do not sell our miniature cattle unless we are 100% certain they are going to a place where they will be well looked after and given a 'fair go'. See Fair Go Farms for details. Pick Up & Delivery: Our miniatures will walk on and off your horse float or stock trailer - no fuss. We will deliver within the Brisbane, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Gympie, Kenilworth area at minimal cost (our expenses only). We can recommend good transport to other areas in Queensland, NSW and Victoria. * Please Note: Our miniature cattle are not withdrawn from sale until we have a holding deposit - no exceptions. Unfortunately, limited numbers and incredible demand have made this very necessary. Buyers also need to be aware that it would be very unusual for us to be communicating with just one interested party at any one time. Buyers have 48 hours from the day of inspection to make a deposit (20% of sale price). We will hold cattle for a maximum of 21 days from the payment of a deposit - unless other arrangements are made at the time of sale. Payment in full is made on or before pick up or delivery takes place during that 21 day period. |
